The feed and other ways to vanish
An hour in the feed is like eating the whole fridge and announcing you’re not hungry. Technically true. Morally a disaster.
Scrolling is the kind of rest that leaves you more tired than work. The brain gets roughly as much nutrition as chewing a plastic bag.
I tried replacing the feed with books. Books now open in an app that has a feed.
Maybe the only option is to look out the window. But the window also has a feed now — cars go by, people walk, weather changes. Algorithmically.
